Dr. Ruffalo is Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Tufts University School of Medicine. He trained in psychiatric social work at the University of Pittsburgh when the chairman of psychiatry was serving as Chair of the DSM-5 Task Force. He has received advanced training through the Columbia University Department of Psychiatry, Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research, and the Gunderson Personality Disorders Institute at McLean Hospital (General Psychiatric Management). His main clinical interests include the psychotherapy of schizophrenia and borderline personality disorder.
