John G. Gunderson, M.D. (1942-2019)

Mark L. Ruffalo, M.S.W., D.Psa., University of Central Florida; Tufts University; private practice, Tampa, FL

Dr. Ruffalo is Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Tufts University School of Medicine. He trained at the University of Pittsburgh when the chairman of psychiatry was serving as Chair of the DSM-5 Task Force. He completed postgraduate training through the Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis; the Gunderson Personality Disorders Institute at McLean Hospital (General Psychiatric Management); and the one-year Otto Kernberg, M.D., Training Program on Personality Disorders. His main clinical interests include the psychotherapy of schizophrenia and borderline personality disorder.
